Welcome!
Welcome to MyQuantJourney!
Hello, I’m Sean Rocinante, an upper-year Financial Mathematics student with a deep passion for becoming a Quantitative Trader. As I’ve delved into this field, I realized there’s no single resource hub that gathers all the knowledge needed to break into the quant industry. That’s why I’ve decided to document my journey—not only to build a comprehensive library of resources that will help me reach my goals but also to create a valuable guide for other aspiring quants.
My blog will feature a mix of interviews, book reviews, project explorations, and study guides focused on mastering the challenging quant interview questions. I’m a firm believer in learning from the best—by connecting with the most knowledgeable individuals in a topic, I can soak in their experiences and insights. Even if they’re not directly in the quant field, there’s always something to be learned that can add to the skills required in a profession where continuous learning is the norm. My background in physics taught me that having a broad range of skills and intuitive problem-solving approaches opens up multiple avenues to tackle complex challenges.
For book reviews, I plan to dive into some of the most highly recommended books by quants, offering thorough analyses that go beyond just reading—focusing on understanding the content and the author's teaching style. I also aim to develop coding projects inspired by key concepts in these books, which I’ll share in a public Git repository. Open collaboration is something I value highly, and I hope others will find my work helpful while also providing feedback that can help me grow.
Quant interview problems are notorious for their complexity, and I’ll be sharing insights on the toughest questions I encounter, along with tips and strategies for solving them.
Thank you for taking the time to read this introduction. I’m genuinely excited to see how this project evolves alongside me, and I hope you’ll join me on this journey. Let’s discover what the future holds—together. Ciao for now.
